With rich natural fish bait and appropriate undersea sediments, Tsushima sea enjoys exclusive favorable biological conditions for the inhabiting and growing of sea cucumber. The fry stocked was nurtured by Zhangzidao subsidiary company at the sea cucumber fry breeding farms in Jindo County, whose average weight was at about 2-5 g.
Liang Jun said that the stocking was carried out under strict scientific disciplines. The 50, 000 fry was experimentally released to the bottom of the sea and Zhangzidao would conduct continuous and regular tracing observation and study of the stocked fry. And the further feasible scheme regarding sea bottom releasing would be implemented after scientific verification of the observation and study.
It’s known that Zhangzidao South Korean project has already entered into the stage of production and has achieved initial success. It also signed cooperation agreement with Jindo County Sea Cucumber Association and Abalone Association. In the future, Zhangzidao South Korean subsidiary company will gradually increase the high-quality fry of oyster, scallop and other species, and will continue to provide technical supports and services for South Korean fishermen and farmers.
