According to a report by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, the Asian country bought $2.97 million dollars in table grapes from Peru between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016, i.e. 16.47% more than in the previous year.
Thus, Peru outperform other suppliers of table grapes for the Indian market, such as Chile, Mexico, and Australia.
It's worth noting that the OCEX New Delhi has played an important role to make Peru the second supplier of table grapes to India, as their efforts have facilitated business between Indian importers and Peruvian exporters in the last two years.
Between 1 April 2014 and 31 March 2015, the Indian market imported more than $2.5 million dollars of table grapes from Peru, i.e. 25% of all table grape imports.
