With a weekly audience of two million viewing what is one of the world’s most prestigious advertising sites, Chiquita’s illuminated presence is adding to the ubiquitous 600 London taxis adorned with the company’s branding.
Each day of the fortnight that the ad will be up in lights, Miss Chiquita and fellow brand ambassadors will be in Piccadilly Circus (from 11am to 2pm) handing out bananas and inviting people to take selfies with Miss Chiquita with the chance of winning exclusive footballs via the company’s Facebook fan page.
John Cockle, Chiquita’s UK Director, said: “Piccadilly Circus is an iconic and very exciting venue for us to be expanding our promotional activities in London, which is a very important market for Chiquita Bananas.
“After the success of our first ever consumer marketing campaign in the UK last year, this year’s expanded campaign underlines our commitment to further boosting consumer awareness and sales figures of our product.”
