On 27th October, Fuxin Aquaculture Developing and Trading Co,. Ltd in Xichou, Wenshan, Yunnan province received export certification for aquatic animals. Wenshan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, branch of Yunnan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, authorized the title to Fuxin Aquaculture, which was also the first in Wenshan.
Fuxin Aquaculture exclusively worked on sturgeon farming. In 1990s, China became one of the big countries in sturgeon fish culture, whose annual production was up to more than 20, 000 tonnes and output value up to around 0.6 billion yuan. Fuxin Aquaculture now obtains 57 standard farming ponds, 22 mu farming area, in which 100, 000 fish fry could be stocked and whose production could reach more than 200 tonnes.
To fully support local enterprises in sturgeon fish farming, local inspection and quarantine bureau carried out research into local geography, climate and ecology and then give them guidance in policy making, market information, farming skill, farming base registration and so on, which helped a lot to their farming environment and health and hygiene condition standardization and regulation.
