CNCA issued the conclusions for review of inspection and quarantine industry standards in 2016
On November 29th, 2016, CNCA issued the conclusions for review of inspection and quarantine industry standards in 2016. For those effective standards, they may be used continuously. For standards to be revised or integrated, CNCA would release plan for revising reviewed inspection and quarantine industry standards as required. For those abolished standards, they should be discontinued for execution immediately, including some standards related to foods such as SN 0147-92 “Method for determination of maximum residue limit of benzene hexachloride and chlorophenothane in exported tea”Notice of CFDA about issuing issues related to legal application of food safety administrative penalties
On December 1st, 2016, CFDA issued a notice about issues related to legal application of food safety administrative penalties. Food and drug supervision and administration departments at all levels should apply relevant provisions of “Food safety law” and “Administrative penalties law” comprehensively in specific law enforcement practice, and actually achieved the goal of punishment prescribed by law, equivalent penalties and combination of punishment & education. They should also further regulate administrative penalty discretion system, unify law enforcement scale and avoid too light or serious.China Food and Drug Administration and China Railway Corporation issued measures for administration of food safety of railroads
In order to strengthen administration of food safety of railroads and protect public health, China Food and Drug Administration and China Railway Corporation jointly revised “Measures for administration of food safety of railroads” based on provisions of Article 152 of “Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China”. This measure applied to supervision and administration of food safety of food sales, food storage, food transportation and catering services within railway stations and railway operation sections, which should be implemented immediately.
