"This year, all the countries producing apples and pears have shown lower production rates, except from China. Although China's fruit export was affected by the trade barriers of some countries, export rates are looking optimistic. In general, the situation is better than previous year. Our company's apples and pears production has increased by 20% over the last year. The main reasons are good weather conditions and expansion of cultivating areas," said Green Bai from Dalian Nong Chang International Trade.
"Our company works with two production bases in Yuncheng city, Shanxi Province and Baoding city, Hebei Province. There are about 670 ha of land for apple cultivation and about 490 ha for pears cultivation. We mainly grow Gala, China Golden apples and Red Fuji apple varieties. They start appearing on market between the beginning of August and the end of September, and are available up to the beginning of May. Two main varieties of pears are Asian pear and Ya pear. They are available on the market from mid-July until the end of March and from the end of August until the beginning of March."
"At this moment, we are selling apples mostly to Southeast Asia and Russia. Pears are mainly exported to the EU, the United States, Canada, Australia and other developed countries and regions, a part is exported to Southeast Asia. Owing to high quality of our product, guaranteed prices and very good reputation, our export volumes have been stable for many years. That also allows us to keep prices steady."
"Our production base isn't a private enterprise, we are working in cooperation with another planting and processing factory. However, our prices are staying on the same level with other companies. This cooperation helps both parties keep each other's work under control and contributes to the achievement of the best quality. Such an enhanced supervision makes work of foreign quarantine services much easier and quicker. That is how we reduce the costs and time needed for transportation and keep our customer satisfied."
