Persicum Fresh has just created a new range of the artisan V range products, following the growing trend for healthy and ready-to-eat convenience products.

"The manufacturer of this new range is committed to the recovery of traditional flavors and the demand for quality raw materials. They are made under strict artisan criteria, as they have been grown in the mountainous lands of Gerona over the years," stated Jose Luis Bernal, of Persicum Fresh.

"We have been working on this type of product with the Corte Inglés for about 4 years now, although under a different brand name and in an exclusive presentation for this supermarket, as its customers look for high quality products and don't care about prices. To market it in other supermarket chains, we have created the new LA ABACERIA DEL JALON brand, with a simpler presentation and, therefore, more competitive prices."

The products that make up the new range are: roasted artichoke, roasted red pepper, natural grilled vegetable salad (pepper and aubergine), grilled vegetable salad with onions (red pepper, eggplant and onion) and the traditional Catalan calçots, a seasonal product that goes from the end of November to March.

"These products have a small turnover, although they are being placed in the IV range section, one of the hot spots of greengrocers in supermarkets, as their demand has grown tremendously in recent years. LA ABACERIA DEL JALON are also convenience, healthy, and ready to eat products, that seem like they were home made," he stated.

Persicum Fresh, which is located in Calatayud, Zaragoza, is a company that focuses on the marketing of fresh products to supermarkets. "Even though our company's core business is producing stone fruits and pip, we market other fruits and vegetables to Spanish distribution chains. Our V range products allow us to continue our business after the stone fruit campaign, along with other fresh products, such as citrus or vegetables, taking advantage of the same sales channels," stated Jose Luis Bernal.
