Pakistan exported 570,000 tons of potatoes to different countries during the last year, out of a total estimated production of about 4.5 million tons. Similarly, Pakistan exported 255,000 tons of potatoes during the first 7.5 months of this fiscal year (July 1, 2018, to February 11, 2019).
It is said that statistics issued by the National Food Security and Research Division on Friday revealed that the annual consumption of potatoes in Pakistan is 3.2 million tons.
