Core Tip: WS Packaging Group has acquired folding carton company Boelter Industries for an undisclosed amount to strengthen its offering to customers
The business will be integrated into WS Packaging’s IMPACT business system, which aims to “demonstrate and apply change through practices that positivity impacts the company, employees, and customers”.

Minnesota-based Boelter Industries design, manufacture and distribute folding cartons and converted paperboard products for a range of end-use applications.

They offer offset lithography in a small- to large-format, multi-colored, key-line, and/or process printing requirements and flexographic printing with inline die cutting, in narrow-web, mid-range, and wide-web capabilities.

Rex Lane, chief executive officer of WS Packaging, said: “Their 40 years of experience, including their vast knowledge of the folding carton business and other capabilities, will help us further strengthen our single-source-to-completion concept, which provides our customers with everything they need to do their project right, from high-quality printing to on-time delivery, all within budget.”

Dennis Boelter, president of Boelter Industries, said: “All levels of our operations have built-in quality checks. And we’re continually reviewing the latest technologies to enhance our equipment and streamline our operations, enabling us to better handle shorter lead times and deliver faster turnarounds.
