Core Tip: The trade fair duo, Drink Technology India (DTI) and International PackTech (the seventh edition of an international exhibition and conference for processes, packaging and printing), continues to grow.
Almost 300 exhibitors (approximately a third more than two years ago) will present the full range of products for the packaging, packaging printing, processing, beverage, food and liquid food industry in Mumbai from November 6-8, 2012.

When it comes to the hall space rental, the organisers Messe Munchen and Messe Dusseldorf anticipate an increase of about 50 per cent and the expected number of trade visitors will be around 8,000.

India is still considered to be one of the most attractive markets in the world. The middle-class on the subcontinent is expected to grow to number some 580 million by 2025 - a predominantly young and consumerist section of society. Every year about 60 per cent of the gross domestic product is spent on private consumption. In spite of slight weakening of the growth forecast, Indian consumers are the most optimistic worldwide and are still in a buying mode. (Source: GTAI)

So the conditions are ideal for everyone active on the Indian market for food and beverages and other everyday consumer goods whose business prospects and those of their suppliers and equippers are considered to be very good in the long-term. However the use of state-of-the-art technology and processes is essential in order to meet the customers' rising expectations.

As a central information and ordering platform, DTI and International PackTech India provide an overview of the international range on offer. The full range of products for the packaging, packaging printing, processing, beverage, food and liquid food industry will be presented at the two trade fairs in Mumbai from November 6-8, 2012.

That the two trade fairs DTI and International PackTech India act in concert is also demonstrated by the joint official German participation, which allows 16 companies from Germany to present their goods within a corporate stand. In addition International PackTech India will presumably feature official national presentations from France, Italy, Turkey and Switzerland.

DTI will come up with joint presentations from China and the UK.

Demand from the exhibitors is already high, about 300 companies, international corporations as well as regionally active suppliers from India, are planning to present their products and processes during the event. Companies such as Auhler, Clearpack India, Cama Group, Coesia India, Ehcoloa/s, and GEA have already registered and announced new product launches. The exhibitors will focus their activities on the requirements of the Indian market and present customised solutions and products.

This is the second time the trade fair duo is taking place, and the organisers, Messe Munchen (Drink Technology India) and Messe Dusseldorf (International PackTech India), and their Indian subsidiaries anticipate a considerable increase in the number of visitors too. In 2010, 201 exhibitors from 22 different countries welcomed over 6,000 trade visitors.

The concentrated knowhow of the two world-class fair organisers and the synergy effect between the packaging, processing and the F&B industry were received with great interest in the booming economy area of India, promising a very successful fair, especially since the exhibitors' presentations will be augmented by a fair forum with lectures given by the companies exhibiting at the fair and the conference dealing with current industry issues.
