Halloween is only a few weeks away, but retailers have been getting a sugar high on candy sales since Labor Day.
According to the most recent survey conducted by the National Confectioners Association (NCA), classic chocolate treats and traditional sweets will dominate trick-or-treaters' selections with 52% of Americans planning on handing out chocolate, followed by hard candy and lollipops (30%); chewy or gummi candy (19%); chewing or bubble gum (16%); and caramel treats (14%). The survey also revealed 41% of adults admit they purposely keep treats behind, and 90% of parents admit sneaking goodies from their kids’ Halloween stash.
To celebrate the ghoulish season, a few members of the Food Product Design team pulled out our magic cauldron to concoct an Image Gallery of our all-time favorite and least-favorite Halloween candies. What’s your fav? Which candy do you trade away?
