Mountain Goat has shelved its plans to dispose off its business and has struck to carry on its activities.

Mountain Goat co-founder Dave Bonighton was quoted by TheShout as saying that fifteen years ago the company had to sell the concept of craft beer first and then sell the Mountain Goat story.

"Now we can just start talking about us straight away, which is good," Bonighton added.

Mountain Goat, which has nearly 120 tap accounts in Melbourne, Australia, is planning to expand to Sydney and Brisbane.

The company's bottles are made available around Australia using Coles and Woolworths liquor stores.

The brewery is also planning to produce more beers under its Rare Breed label and at present has Steam Ale (4.5 per cent ABV) and Hightale Ale.

Mountain Goat has also released the India Pale Ale in 330ml bottles.
