SkyPeople Fruit Juice receives four patents from SIPO

SkyPeople Fruit Juice has received four new patents for its production methods and techniques from the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China (SIPO).

The company received patents for a Kiwifruit cider beverage and its production method and for a production technology for strawberry juice concentrates on 12 September 2012.

SkyPeople Fruit Juice also bagged patents for a production technology for turnjujube juice concentrates and for a production technology for cherry juice concentrates on 26 September 2012.

Chief executive officer Yongke Xue said: "Our continued efforts to obtain new patents via our commitment to research and development, are part of a long-term growth strategy that we believe will ultimately benefit our business performance in the future."

The Florida-based company expects to secure market exclusivity for these production methods and techniques for a period of 20 years.

Including the foregoing four new patents, SkyPeople Fruit Juice now holds six active patents and has several patent applications in process.
