Manjushree Technopack Ltd has bagged three India Star awards for the year 2011-12.
The company bagged the prizes for its packaging solutions for three leading brands in the FMCG sector: Nestle for its Nestea sipper bottle, Govardhan India for Go Nacho cheese sauce bottle and GlaxoSmithKline for the Viva drink jar. These awards are under the category ‘Consumer Packaged Product Design.’
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place during Indiapack 2013 on January 29, 2013, in Mumbai.
The objectives of these awards by Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) are to promote and award excellence in packaging design, innovation and technology. Manjushree, a consistent winner of the awards, with this year’s addition, has won 20 of them. The awards also qualify the company to participate in Asia Star and World Star awards instituted by the World Packaging Organisation.
Vimal Kedia, MD, Manjushree Technopack Ltd, said, "It is heartening to see the IIP providing encouragement, and spurring the industry towards innovation and growth. We are also grateful to our customers in the FMCG sector who have given us the opportunity for some great work."
The three award-winning designs stood apart for convenience, ease-of-use and innovation in handling the product. The Nestea sipper bottle was developed as part of promotion to be given away as freebie along with the Nestle tea pouch. The design process involved creating a leak-proof bottle and cap, which could be used as both a sipper and shaker.
