US based Dogfish Head Craft Brewery's 26,661ft² expansion plan to its existing facility has received Milton officials' approval.

The expansion, which is expected to increase the brewery's production to 500,000 barrels within the next 10 years, will also produce 171,000 barrels in 2012.

The commission has also authorised the construction of a 9,994ft² wastewater building and an entrance plan for a previously approved warehouse.

The Dogfish Head COO Nick Benz was cited by Delawareonline.com as saying that the 102,500ft² warehouse will assist the back end of the packaging and warehouse operations as well as to expand shipping and getting raw materials.

Construction of the warehouse is expected to be finished by the end of 2012 while its usage is dated to early 2013.
