Wonderful Pistachios have announced the newest cast members in their Get Crackin' campaign by placing their pistachio-crackin' laser beams on two digital giants. Twitter and Google revel in the "green" spotlight with television advertisements showing how they each crack open a pistachio: Google does it 73,600 ways, while Twitter does it with 140 characters. Viewers of the Twitter commercial also have a chance to win $10,000 or one of 140 Apple iPad Minis in a Wonderful Pistachios contest and sweepstakes.

The commercials begin airing this week and will be shown throughout the week on several major networks during programs such as Dancing with the Stars, Good Morning America, Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Monday Night Football.

"As a brand, Wonderful Pistachios likes to have fun with current trends," said Mark Masten, vice president of global sales and marketing at Paramount Farms. "Our Get Crackin' commercials have been extremely popular and so far we have received more than 12 million YouTube views."
