Seattle-based Tatoosh Distillery is all set to introduce two new craft spirits - Tatoosh Bourbon and Tatoosh Whiskey.
Derived from family recipes originated in Louisiana, the spirits are distilled in Bend, Oregon using water and ingredients collected from Northwest and are aged using an accelerated oak infusion spiral process that adds American and French oak flavors to the spirits.
Tatoosh Bourbon is gold in color and possesses aromas of honey, vanilla, oak, toffee and coriander with spicy and complex notes of leather, tobacco and citrus, whereas the 80 proof single malt Tatoosh Whiskey is dark copper in color and possesses flavors of malt, leather, pecan, caramel, tobacco and oak grain with caramel sweetness and char notes.
Under the first line of production, the distillery will produce 1,500 bottles each of bourbon and whiskey. Tatoosh Bourbon will be available in mid December 2012 at select bars, cocktail lounges, restaurants and retail outlets in Seattle and Bellevue, while Tatoosh Whiskey will be released in March 2013 in Seattle markets.
