Moat Mountain has launched Moat Bone Shaker Brown beer in Rexam's 24 oz. cans.
Moat Bone Shaker Brown is an English-style brown ale with a malt body, medium hop bitterness and 5.5% abv.
Moat Mountain Brewing Company owner Steve Johnson said craft beer consumers are liking aluminum can packaging in increasing numbers.
''By working with Rexam, we were able to embrace both these trends and bring our beers to market in a 24 oz. can that consumers love," Johnson added.
Rexam Beverage Can Americas chief operating officer Rich Grimley said as a 24 oz. can manufacturer, Rexam has assisted Moat Mountain to launch the beer in can package.
"It's a great choice to stand out on retail shelves while delivering superior recycling and environmental benefits as well as filling and distribution economics," Grimley added.
Moat Mountain Bone Shaker Brown Ale and Iron Mike Pale Ale are at presently available at select retailers in Maine and New Hampshire, US.
In 2011, the brewery had also released Moat Iron Mike Pale Ale in can packaging.
