In the coming weeks the first microwaves machines from Food & Innovative Technologies will be installed in Chile, one in Linares, the other in San Fernando. The two Chilean companies who bought the FIT technology are ready to pack blueberries and grapes for their main markets: USA, Asia, Arabia and Europe.

In particular, in the case of grapes, there is an opportunity for the Chilean export sector to see a conservation method that can be done in a natural way, without the aid of SO2 that is now commonly used to preserve the product during transport by sea without affecting the taste of the product and with positive effects on the extension of the "shelf life".

Chileans exporters it will be able to see the FIT technology directly in the customers' companies and organize trials and tests which need to be managed in terms of logistics and packaging in accordance with the specific application protocols.
