US-based The 86 Co has launched a range of spirits that can meet the needs of bartenders in making cocktails.
The range of specially-formulated spirits includes Ford's Gin, Aylesbury Duck Vodka, Cana Brava Rum and Tequila Cabeza.
Cana Brava is a filtered rum made from wild sugarcane grown in Herrera region of Panama. It is distilled in a classic 1922 copper and brass still at Las Cabres Distillery and aged for three years in a combination of new un-charred American oak and used American Whiskey barrels. It is available for a suggested retail price of $34.99.
Fords Gin is distilled at Thames Distillers in London. It has a mix of nine botanicals. The gin starts with a traditional base of juniper and coriander seed, and is balanced by citrus (bitter orange, lemon and grapefruit peel), florals (jasmine flower and orris) and spices (angelica and cassia). It is available for a suggested retail price of $37.99.
Tequila Cabeza is a tequila made from agave plants grown in Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico. It carries a light bitter citrus and black pepper taste. It is available for $42.99.
Aylesbury Duck Vodka is a spirit from the Western Rockies region of Canada. It is made from white winter wheat and features spicy and grainy character. It is priced at $30.99.
The 86 Co co-founder Simon Ford said that their products are distilled with an infinite understanding of function, efficiency, mixability and quality of ingredients.
The spirits are currently available in select bars in Texas, California, New York and Chicago.
