US-based full-service beverage company Leonard’s Syrups has selected the HighJump Route Administrator route accounting system of HighJump Software to manage direct store delivery (DSD) operations.
HighJump Route Administrator will serve as the central nervous system for all front and back office operations. With the help of this system, Leonard's Syrups can manage routes, hand-held computers, customers and drivers' schedules quickly and efficiently as one system can control sales order management, inventory management, route planning delivery and driver reconciliation.
The route administrator will automatically update all changes made to customers, pricing and routing across Leonard's Syrups' systems.
The customer service team can enter requests of customers, while the back office team can better prioritise customer calls to reduce travel times.
This increased efficiency of data flow and faster business processes will allow drivers to make quicker deliveries. Also, the last several orders from customers can be reviewed, which will enable to accurately determine the amount of product to leave and ultimately save the customer money.
HighJump DSD solutions group general manager Amy Stelling said the company has developed solutions specific to the industry needs.
"At the same time, the core of Route Administrator is the flexible and configurable HighJump platform, giving our customers like Leonard's Syrups the industry-specific solutions they need right out of the box, with the ability to tailor it as the company grows and evolves," Stelling added.
Leonard's Syrups opted for HighJump because it is an easy-to-use software and offers convenient integrations to Leonard's financial package, Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Leonard's Syrups CFO Sherri Iskra said that almost every feature that they needed for a direct store delivery was already in place.
"Our biggest challenge was finding a solution that incorporated directly into our accounting package, and HighJump provided that solution," Iskra noted.
