Kroger Co. on Tuesday announced another Kroger Marketplace project in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Construction of the store, to be located in Suffolk, Va., is to begin in July, Suffolk Mayor Linda T. Johnson said in a release.
Kroger is set to open its first Marketplace store in the Hampton Roads market, in Virginia Beach, in July.
“Since first entering the market 10 years ago, we’ve learned a lot from the community and what our customers look for in a grocer,” Jay Cummins, president of Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic Division, said in a statement. “Suffolk deserves a top-quality grocery experience and that includes local products, home goods, clean stores, low prices and, of course, exceptional customer service.”
