H.B. Fuller launches new water-based adhesive range for food packaging

H.B. FullerH.B. Fuller, a US-based formulator, manufacturer and marketer of adhesives, has launched a line of water-based dry bond hybrid laminating adhesives – Flextra- for flexible packaging in the food and industrial markets.

The new Flextra range, including PD2243, PD2167 and PD2207, offers clarity, clean machining and cell release on various films along with converters three options to boost the performance at an affordable cost.

Commenting on the launch H.B. Fuller North America flexible packaging sales manager Brian Glasbrenner said that the customers need adhesive for packaging produce, bakery goods, snacks and confections.

"We developed the Flextra water-based dry bond hybrid laminating adhesives to give customers more choice with the high-end performance they can count on. With these products, you can laminate, pouch, ship and fill packages in as few as two days," added Glasbrenner.

Of all the three products in the range, Flextra PD2167 offers good clarity and gravure cylinder cell release, leading to good adhesive transfer and easy clean-up, while Flextra PD2207 is suitable for a bakery, snack and confectionary packaging, offering outstanding economics for a water-based adhesive.
