Corby Distilleries, a Canada-based marketer and distributor of spirits and imported wines, has signed a five year agreement with The Wine Group of California to represent its wine brands in Canada.

Effective from 1 April 2013 in Quebec and from 15 May 2013 in all other Canadian provinces, the agreement will see Corby represent The Wine Group brands, including Cupcake Vineyards, Big House Wine, Cocobon, Concannon Vineyard, Grayfox Vineyards and Mogen David Wine.

Corby Distilleries president and CEO Patrick O'Driscoll said The Wine Group's brands doubles the company's wine market share and complements the existing wine portfolio that includes Jacob's Creek, Stoneleigh, Graffigna, and Campo Viejo.

"This important agreement reinforces our position as a key supplier in both premium spirits and wine," O'Driscoll added.

The Wine Group International and Alliances president Fritz Lance said, "We look forward to taking the premium wine brands of The Wine Group to new levels of success in the dynamic and important Canadian market."
