Core Tip: The Norwegian Food Safety Authority (FSA) has requested a meeting with Russia to discuss Norwegian fish and seafood exports to Russia.
The Norwegian Food Safety Authority (FSA) has requested a meeting with Russia to discuss Norwegian fish and seafood exports to Russia.

"In recent days there has been uncertainty about the agreement between Norway and Russia on imports of Norwegian fish and seafood. Therefore we want a meeting where we can discuss the matter directly with our Russian colleagues," says Bjorn Røthe Knudtsen, chief negotiator for the FSA.

The FSA and the Russian veterinary have now agreed to meet in the second half of May, "where shall we continue the discussion on cooperation to ensure safe food and fair trade," said Mr Knudtsen.
