Australia-based Brookland Valley Estate has unveiled a new range of wines - Unison - that showcases the terroir and character of the Margaret River region.
The Brookland Valley Unison range consists of wines such as Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2012, Chardonnay 2012 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2011.
Crafted by Brookland Valley chief winemaker Courtney Treacher, the 14% ABV Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2012 offers a combination of passion fruit, citrus and herbaceous flavours, whereas the 13.5% ABV Chardonnay 2012 offers flavors of stone fruit and citrus.
The 14% ABV Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 offers aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry with notes of bay leaf, black olive and hints of dark chocolate and spice.
Treacher was quoted by The Shout as saying that the wines have been crafted to represent the Margaret River region.
"Margaret River is recognised as one of the world's premier wine regions, in particular for these grape varieties," Treacher added.
"With Unison, we wanted to create a range that boasted minimal interference to encourage natural nuance of flavour, effectively putting the pure characters of the Margaret River region in a bottle."
The new range is currently available for purchase with independent retailers at recommended retail price of $21.99 each.
The company further plans to roll out the Unison range in Liquorland and First Choice stores on 1 June 2013.
