Core Tip: Coley Porter Bell has created the new proposition, name and packaging for the ultra premium hand-crafted gin, Beefeater Burrough’s Reserve.
Coley Porter Bell, a London-based full-service brand design agency specialising in packaging, corporate identity and other tasks, has created the new proposition, name and packaging for the ultra premium hand-crafted gin, Beefeater Burrough’s Reserve.

Beefeater brand is owned by Pernod Ricard, and bottled and distributed in the UK by the company of James Burrough.

The packaging features the new round decanter-style glass bottle and a label whose shape showcases the Jean de Lillet oak barrels in which the blend was aged.

The label also features the signatures of both the recipe creator James Burrough and product distiller Desmond Payne, alongside the batch and bottle number.

Payne distilled the gin by hand using original Beefeater recipe from 1860s and Burrough's original copper 'Still Number 12'. He then rested the spirit in Jean de Lillet oak barrels.

Coley Porter Bell creative director Stuart Humm said, "We wanted to create something that balances the ultra premium codes often found in dark spirits, for example hand craftsmanship and cues of discernment and status, with the world of gin and Beefeater."

The newly packed spirit will be launched in Spain and other key markets in the UK in June 2013 and in the US in October 2013.
