Moet & Chandon, a French champagne house and co-owner of the luxury goods company Moët-Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), has rolled out the 2004 vintage of Dom Perignon.

The first vintage of Dom Perignon was produced in 1921 and since then the company has released 40 Dom Perignon till 2004.

The 2004 wine possesses aromas of almond and cocoa on the nose and white fruit with hints of dried flowers, toasted notes and round finish, reported Harpers.

Dom Perignon chef de cave Richard Geoffroy was quoted by the website as saying that when compared to the 2003 harvest, the 2004 harvest was near-perfect and effortless, where grapes were exposed to dry heat in the final weeks.

"Growing and fruit ripening periods went by smoothly, with no difficulties - a phenomenon that we have rarely, if ever, seen before," he added.

Dom Perignon 2004 will be available for purchase at recommended retail price of around £130.
