Mumm Napa, a California-based sparkling wine producer, and guitarist Carlos Santana have unveiled a new sparkling wine, Mumm Napa Supernatural Rose.
The wine is the second produced through partnership between the two.
The Mumm Napa Supernatural Rose is a 2006 vintage made from 100% Napa Valley grapes. It is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay.
Mumm Napa winemaker Ludovic Dervin worked with Santana, using his feedback on wine style to create the sparkling wine with a creamy palate featuring flavors of fig and blackberry jam.
Dervin said it is always a pleasure working with Carlos to make a wine because like music, wine can also really be about personal expression.
"Supernatural Rose is very much an expression of Carlos and Mumm Napa - not only is it vibrant and lively, but it is also approachably luxurious," Dervin added.
To celebrate the launch of Supernatural Rose, Santana will host a toast at House of Blues Las Vegas on 22 May 2013.
The limited 2006 Supernatural Rose can be purchased at Mumm Napa winery and online at www.mummnapa.com for $65.
