Anderol Specialty Lubricants has launched Everest brand of refrigeration lubricants, which are designed to offer lower energy consumption, optimum performance, and longer service life to refrigeration and air-conditioning systems based on hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) gas.

HFC refrigerant gas is considered to have a lower impact on the stratospheric ozone layer than chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) and hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) refrigerant gases they are replacing.

HFCs are already in use in Europe and the US and are increasingly being used in China and elsewhere.

In addition to HFC-based refrigeration and A/C systems, Everest lubricants are also ideal for R-22 and R-12 retrofits using refrigerants such as R-422A, R-422D, R-417A and R-427. EVEREST refrigeration lubricants are available in viscosity grades from ISO 10 to ISO 220.

The company is offering formulated versions containing anti-wear and extreme pressure additives for select viscosity grades.

Anderol is supplying Everest branded refrigeration lubricants on a direct basis to OEM's and through selected distributors for the service market. The company noted that while the product offering is extensive, it will be able to design a lubricant based on unique performance requirements.

All Everest polyol ester refrigeration lubricants are manufactured to exacting standards of high purity, low residual acid value, low color and low moisture, the company said.

Anderol Specialty Lubricants is a division of Chemtura, which is the world's leading manufacturer of polyol esters with special expertise in the production of POEs for refrigeration lubricants.
