Canadian fruit drinks maker Lassonde Industries has reported sales of $499.1m in the first half (H1) ended 30 June 2013, up by 1.9%, from $489.8m in the same period of 2012.
Sales of the company for the second quarter (Q2) were $258.5m, up 0.8%, compared to sales of $256.4m in the same period in 2012.
This increase was resulted by higher private label sales partly offset by lower sales volumes for national brands.
Operating profit was $19.5m for the Q2, down by 6%, compared to operating profit of $20.7m in the same period in 2012.
Operating profit for the first six months of 2013 was $33.3m compared to $34m in 2012.
Lassonde Industries board chairman and chief executive officer Pierre-Paul Lassonde said: "We are pleased to report a slight increase in sales despite the unfavourable impact of adverse weather conditions on our markets in the second quarter of 2013."
Lassonde manufactures and sells a wide range of fruit and vegetable juices and drinks marketed under brands such as Everfresh, Fairlee, Flavür, Fruité, Graves, Oasis and Rougemont.
