Epoch Wine Group, an Australia-based liquor distributor, has expanded its portfolio of wine brands with the addition of New Zealand-based wine producer Rochfort Rees.
The liquor distributor will start national distribution of Rochfort Rees from 1 September 2013.
With this partnership, a two tiered range - RR by Rochfort Rees and Regional Selection - will be added to the Epoch portfolio.
RR range includes Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc sourced from the Marlborough region whereas the Regional Selection includes Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc and a Central Otago Pinot Noir.
Epoch Wine Group CEO Sam Mete said: "With NZ wines taking up a significant proportion of both retail space and wine lists, it was essential for Epoch to include a premium NZ brand in the portfolio."
Rochfort Rees managing director Oliver Scutts said: "You need to be able to change with the market but never compromise on quality and what your core brand philosophy is."
Established in 2008, Rochfort Rees produces wines using grapes that are sourced from growers in the Marlborough and Central Otago regions.
