Noosa Plain is designed to serve as a far-from-ordinary start to yogurt-based breakfasts, snacks and desserts, such as parfaits, mousses and fruit smoothies. Additionally, it can serve as a unique ingredient in recipes for dips, salads, spreads, marinades and baked goods.
Currently, Noosa Plain will be available only to foodservice providers with a retail launch pegged for later this year.
"We've put our own special Aussie twist on a plain yoghurt that is as far from ordinary as the culture from which it comes," said Koel Thomae, co-founder of Noosa Finest Yoghurt and a native of Australia. "We're known for creating a deliciously different kind of yoghurt and we believe our plain flavor will be another huge hit with customers."
Inspired by rich, thick Greek yoghurts, Noosa is made on-site at the family-owned Morning Fresh Dairy in Bellvue, Colo. Noosa also partners with Colorado-based Beyond the Hive to lightly sweeten their yogurt with the amazingly pure-tasting, golden Clover Alfalfa honey. Blended in small batches and infused with all natural fruit purees, Noosa is available in Honey, Blueberry, Mango, Raspberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, Peach, Passion Fruit, Lemon and now, Plain.
