Selfridges and Coe Vintners have acquired the exclusive UK distribution rights for Rhuby, a Swedish produced, natural rhubarb liqueur created by Ylva Binder for the UK market.
Rhuby is made with juiced rhubarb stalks with the addition of smooth wheat vodka from Gripsholm Distillery in Aker Styckebruk. The wheat vodka distillery dates back to 1580 and is the only certified organic distillery in Sweden.
Binder partnered with master blender Solveig Sommarström, who previously headed the lab at Vin & Sprit to create the 40 proof (20% ABV) liqueur. Binder is a veteran in the drinks industry having previously been a director at Bacardi and William Grant & Sons, but now is working on her own brand.
The Rhuby 700ml bottle has a rrp of £34.
