The Process Systems Business Unit of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics will showcase its smart, sustainable solutions for the food and beverage transfer, dispensing and vending applications at Drinktec 2013 that will take place between 16-20 September at Munich Trade Fair Center in Munich, Germany.
These tubing solutions, along with Saint Gobain's consultative approach, will provide engineered properties for improving or ensuring sustainability, food safety, efficiency and product integrity, the company said.
Saint-Gobain noted that its new Tygon S3 B-44-3, which is made using bio-based material, is a clear tubing that allows easy visual monitoring of flow, while being light-weight and flexible for quick installation.
In addition, the company is showcasing its silicone tubing range that offers both taste-free and odor-free properties along with thermal resistance, while thermoplastic elastomer tubing offers temperature resistance, superior flex life and low extractibles.
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Process Systems Business Unit food and beverage global marketing manager Iuliana Nita said that a challenging economy, evolving regulatory environment, and increased demand for greater sustainability may present several hurdles to dispensing equipment manufacturers or beverage processors.
"Our hands-on approach to engineering tubing solutions that are safe, smart and sustainable helps processors gain or maintain a competitive edge," added Nita.
