At Fi Europe (Frankfurt, 19-21 November) Brazilian company Biorigin says that it will present the recipe for successful health and well-being formulations for sodium reduction and taste enhancement.

Through tasting sessions, visitors will be able to discover the benefits of the Bionis line of yeast extracts in meat application, the company said. Bionis acts to enhance taste and to allow sodium reduction as well as to provide more body, mouthfeel and Umami.

The Bioenhance line of natural flavours will also be presented in snacks, increasing the intensity of salt perception with no salt addition and performing synergistically with the Bionis line of yeast extract.

The Biogard line of natural flavours will be highlighted in cheese for flavour enhancement, and a test study in bread will be presented that is said to show how the product acts in the extension of shelf life by inhibiting mould.

Biorigin also has in its portfolio the Biotaste line for enhancing the taste of roasted products that is said to deliver meat, beef, chicken and roasted notes, and the Goldcell line of inactive, autolysed and mineralised yeasts, and beta-glucan.
