Core Tip: FoodLink has teamed up with Locus Traxx Worldwide to provide a traceability platform for retailers and partners to track produce shipments from point-of-origin to point-of-sale.
FoodLink, a US-based supply chain and commerce solutions provider, has teamed up with Locus Traxx Worldwide, a monitoring and real-time reporting solutions provider, to provide a single platform for retailers and partners to track produce shipments from point-of-origin to point-of-sale.

Locus Traxx Worldwide provides real time in-transit temperature monitoring, security and GPS location data to prevent quality issues during fresh food transportation.

FoodLink provides traceability and commerce solutions over a network of fresh food buyers, shippers and growers, linking information from a field where food is grown and harvested, all the way through packing, shipping and purchasing by retailers and consumers.

The partnership offers a solution with detailed real-time visibility across a fragmented supply chain that drives significant reduction of waste in the fresh food industry.

With this development, partners can quickly identify and respond to potential problems as products move from the field to the store. Using the recently launched 'SmartTraxx Go' platform, real-time data can be applied to any checkout.

Locus Traxx Worldwide CEO David Benjamin said, "Working closely with forward thinking partners like FoodLink makes real-time visibility throughout the supply chain a reality and provides unmatched control over the quality and freshness of their product."

FoodLink CEO Eric Peters said that the convergence of data between FoodLink and Locus Traxx will change the way fresh food is managed across the supply chain.

"And looking forward, there is a second wave of realized value when merchandisers use the quality and freshness data to improve the way they sell products in the store," Peters added.
