Chabot Space & Science Center has introduced a new wine - THE COMET - in partnership with Dashe Cellars, an American family-owned winery.
THE COMET has been created by carefully selecting individual barrels of old-vine zinfandel made from the Todd Brothers Ranch in Alexander Valley, a high end vineyard in Sonoma County, the company claims.
The wine features aromas of black raspberry, wild cherry, and black currant fruit, with highlights of chocolate and black pepper spice; as well as velvety texture and flavors of blackberry, cassis, plum, clove, and black pepper.
Commenting on the launch, Chabot Space & Science Center CEO Alexander Zwissler said that the company's partnership with Dashe Cellars is based on their mutual appreciation of science.
"We hope Chabot supporters and wine enthusiasts will gift THE COMET to their friends and family, and spark discussions of what's happening in astronomy and science," added Zwissler.
