Canada-based Chantler Packaging has unveiled a new EnduroPouch, which is designed for packing grapes and cherries.
Claimed to be an alternate to the traditional produce bags, EnduroPouch is also being used for some vegetables such as mini cucumbers and peppers.
The new pouch features a re-closeable slider zipper, a reinforced handle, which uses less plastic. It offers fast packing for growers or packers.
Chantler sales and marketing vice president Grant Ferguson was quoted by thepacker.com as saying that the handle is said to minimize the use of plastic by up to 25%, aimed at sustainability and cost savings.
EnduroPouch has been recently selected by Ontario-based produce Pure Hot House Foods, which markets its products under the Pure Flavor brand.
