Vinifera Imports, a US-based importer of premium Italian wines, has received an approval from the Santa Fe Springs City Council for the distribution of wines.

The approved conditional use permit for the operation was awaiting approval from the state Department of Alcoholic Beverages.

Vinifera will continue to store and distribute imported wines, as part of its national expansion program, reports the wavenewspapers.com.

The company will not have to pay sales tax revenue for the sale of imported wines as it will take place at a 10,284ft² building at 13273 Barton Circle.

Founded in 1979, Vinifera has expanded to include a national distribution network, serving retail shops and restaurants in all major commercial markets, with over 15 branch offices.
