A list of leading politicians and industry spokespeople will line up at NFU Scotland’s annual AGM and dinner in St Andrews on 10 and 11 February.
The event will mark the end of the union’s year of centenary celebrations and will open with presentations from the chief executive Scott Walker and president Nigel Miller.
There will also be appearances from leading industry figure Brian Pack, Scotland’s chief agricultural officer Drew Sloan, Scottish secretary of state Alistair Carmichael, Defra secretary of state Owen Paterson and Scotland’s cabinet secretary for rural affairs Richard Lochhead.
Union president Miller said: “CAP reform implementation, the independence referendum, agricultural holdings review and much more means the next 12 months will be pivotal in shaping the industry. For Scotland, there is a considerable amount of work to be done in 2014 and many questions to be asked. This line-up of speakers has the potential to deliver some of the answers.”
