Belguim’s discount family-run grocery retailer Colruyt will open its 100th OKay store this summer.
The new store will open in De Pinte, said the group.
Alongside the opening, Colruyt will launch a major marketing campaign in the country.
Launched in January 1998, the OKay banner opened its 50th outlet just six years ago.
The majority of the Okay stores are located in Flanders and Brussels.
The retailer has accelerated the pace of expansion in recent years.
Last month, Colruyt announced that it would equip all staff in its 220 Belgian stores with new mobile technology to help with logistics and customer service.
Colruyt said that they would increase the number of PDAs from 900 to 8,000 by October of this year.
Colruyt said that by familiarising staff with the new technology, it would optimise its work processes.
