Pepper Sauce has launched a range of four Sauces & Marinades designed to bring a splash of Louisiana to the UK.The sauces reflect the flavour of the Deep South (the home of Tabasco) and they designed to be versatile, they’re easy to use and can be enjoyed as a marinade, condiment, basting sauce or dip.
Peter Baxendell, marketing director, AB World Foods said: “The Tabasco Sauce and Marinade range is the perfect blend of Tabasco and the iconic flavours of Deep South US cooking.
“Tabasco delivers a unique blend of heat and taste due to its unique production process – three years of ageing in oak barrels on Avery Island, Louisiana.
“We take that Tabasco and add it to each of these four recipes in just the right way so that you get four great flavours and three different heat levels.
“American flavours like chipotle, creole and bourbon are all the rage in the restaurant sector.
“By bringing these same flavours into the home we hope to give consumers recipes that they’ll love, whether they want something hotter or just want to give their favourite dishes a mild kick.
“These sauces are unique and as such we believe we can genuinely expand the condiments category.”
The Sweet Chipotle and Cola sauce would be at home in any classic American Diner.
Cola-flavour soft drink, a long standing secret ingredient of chefs, combines with deep smoked chipotle peppers to create a rich and sweet sauce with only a hint of chilli heat.
The Chipotle and Smokey Bourbon sauce harks back to the Jazz age.
The subtlety of smoked chipotle is the a match for the flavour profile of Scotch and Bourbon whiskies, the heat is subtle and it is perfect for ribs.
The Peppery Deep South Creole sauce transforms chicken wings and veggie burgers.
Rich tomatoes and peppers are brought to life with a blend of herbs and spices to reflect the diversity of flavour in Louisiana.
Finally there’s Fruity and Fiery Habanero.
Tabasco Habanero Sauce is a hot chilli sauce that’s renowned for its tangy fruity flavours.
This table sauce teams all that Habanero heat with sweet mango, papaya and banana puree.
It delivers a blast of hot chilli that’s great for dipping or marinating and will bring character and vibrancy to seafood or veggie skewers.
The range is now available in four flavours – Chipotle & Cola, Habanero, Creole, and Chipotle & Bourbon, RRP £2.29.
The full range will be available from Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose from mid-June.
