Princes, the UK’sTuna Salads ambient fish brand, is launching a new Thai Chilli variant in its range of Tuna Salads to help drive further incremental growth in added-value tuna.

The new Princes Thai Chilli Tuna Salad, offers shoppers a popular flavour choice, contains less than 230 calories, is less than 2% fat, and is one of your five-a-day.

It has been developed to meet consumer demand for convenient meals on the go or at work.

Neil Brownbill, Marketing Director for Princes, said:

“Our Princes Tuna Salads range is worth £1.5m, and is growing 18% YOY.

“Princes Tuna Salads have been 100% incremental to the Added Value Tuna category, with 43% of the incremental spend from new shoppers to the category.

“The Princes Tuna Salads range successfully meets the consumers’ desire for a delicious and quick lunchtime meal.

“The new Thai Chilli variant provides another popular flavour choice in the range.

“We have also refreshed our packaging to increase the prominence of our one of your five-a-day message, both of which are motivating to the consumer.”

Further flavours in the Princes Tuna Salad range include Italian, Mexican and French. All are available in 210g packs with an RSP of £1.99.
