Summerfruit Australia will be attending Asia Fruit Logistica for the 6th time. John Moore CEO of Summerfruit Australia, explains, "Each year we create more interest in our Australian Fresh Summer stonefruit. Australia is so close to Asian destinations and we have a reputation for clean fresh fruit and possibly the juiciest from the southern hemisphere suppliers."
Moore says there is growing excitement and momentum about access to China. "The Industry has been patient for 9 years and all of our work with Governments and Authorities is nearing fruition, hopefully in time for the Chinese New Year".
Australian stonefruit producers grow an abundance of apricots, nectarines , peaches and plums. "There are a few emerging new varieties of white nectarines and white peaches from the regions of Swan Hill, Woorinen (Sunraysia) and Cobram, in the Goulburn Valley Region they are producing spectacular eating fruit with good brix levels," according to John.
Other producing regions include the Riverland (South Australia) Central and Southern NSW ,Tasmania , Western Australia & South Eastern Queensland are similarly know to the discerning buyers of fine Australian Summer Stonefruit.
