Hain Celestial Group has reported strong fourth-quarter and fiscal-year sales and higher profits, mainly aided by distribution gains, new products and international acquisitions.
Net sales for the fourth quarter ended 30 June totaled $583.83m, an increase of 26%, as against $463.47m in the same quarter a year ago.
The organic and natural products company, with brands including Celestial Seasonings, Earth's Best, Terra and Spectrum, noted that US net sales grew 13.2% from last year to $323m.
Worldwide net sales for fiscal 2014 were $2.154bn, an increase of 24.2%, compared to $1.735bn in the prior year.
The company's net income for the fourth quarter rose to $35.72m from $25.93m in the corresponding period in 2013.
Hain Celestial Group founder and CEO Irwin Simon said: "Our business continues to benefit from strong growth trends in the organic and natural, better-for-you segment of consumer packaged goods."
In fiscal 2015, Hain expects its revenue would be in the range of $2.73bn to $2.80bn.
During the fiscal year, Hain completed acquisitions of Tilda, a basmati and specialty rice products company based in the UK, and Rudi's Organic Bakery, an organic and gluten-free bread and baked goods company in Colorado.
Hain also introduced more than 200 products worldwide.
