On the Anuga, world's largest and leading food product exhibit, around 7,000 exhibitors from over 108 countries presented themselves this year. From the 10th to the 14th of October 2015, visitors could get to know and partially try out the newest products in the industry.
Of course, many companies from the fruit- and vegetable industry use the chance to present their products. "We are represented on the Anuga since 1995", CEO Frank Döscher of Elbe-Obst explains. "The Anuga gives us the possibility to also present our other products."
A big theme for many companies in the fruit- and vegetable industry was the theme of convenience. Drs. Jocken Wolthuis thinks: "While for example Holland is leading in convenience across Europe, Germany is still lagging behind. But people are noticing that convenience is becoming ever more important in Germany. "
Some producers of processing machines also use the fair to present their products to the visitors. "Beside Fruit Logistica, we want to use the added value of the Anuga to present our machines for processing fruit and vegetables to other potential customers," Stephan Zillgith, CEO of Kronen, describes.
The Anuga offers its visitors a broad spectrum of themes. The exhibit concept of Anuga encompasses ten specialist trade fairs and deals with the newest trends in the food sector. This year, Greece was the partner country of the Anuga 2015 in Cologne.
