The Serres Toundra, which currently has about 160 employees, have stopped producing Lebanese cucumbers for an extended period due to a lack of manual labour.

Eric Dubé, President of Serres Toundra, says that they always have to stop production for a while to clean the greenhouses. The same will soon occur for English cucumbers as well. Mr Dubé has ensured that the interruption in production will not affect supply contracts with greengrocers.
