Worsbrough Mill products withdrawn due to incorrect allergen information

Worsbrough Mill has withdrawn various packs of flour, bran, semolina, bread mix and oats because of incorrect allergen information. The products don’t mention the presence of cereals containing gluten (some products contain wheat, others barley), which means they are a possible health risk for anyone with a relevant allergy or intolerance. Other products also have misleading allergen information.

All the above products being withdrawn contain either wheat or barley, which are not mentioned on the product label, making the products a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to wheat and/or barley, or an intolerance to gluten.
Our advice to consumers

If you have bought any of the above products and have an allergy to wheat and/or barley or an intolerance to gluten, do not eat it. Instead, contact Worsbrough Mill on 01226 774527 for a full refund.
Action taken by the company

The company has withdrawn the above products. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores that were selling the affected products. Worsbrough Mill has also contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the withdrawal.

No other Worsbrough Mill products are known to be affected.
