The collated results of Roy Morgan Research surveys throughout the 2015 calendar year provide a good analysis of customer satisfaction ratings for Australian retailers and service industry players.
Based on the survey results of 50, 0000 Australians, consumers were quizzed about their experiences with supermarkets, liquor, quick service restaurants and other retailers and service providers.
There were some surprises in the results with Aldi supermarkets beating all mobile phone service specialists to be ranked as the best mobile service satisfaction provider.
The highest customer satisfaction ratings for a supermarket in Australia was achieved by South Australia’s IGA Foodland.
The best satisfaction provider in coffee shops was Doughnut King.
The highest satisfaction provider in quick service restaurants Pizza Capers.
The Woolworths group’s Dan Murphy was crowned the best customer satisfaction provider for liquor.
CEO of Roy Morgan Research, Michele Levine said the awards reflected a vibrant mix of Australian businesses committed to customer satisfaction.
“Now in their fifth year, the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards are widely considered to be the most accurate, reliable measure of customer satisfaction in
Australia,” Levine said.
“Results are calculated using 12 months’ worth of responses to our Single Source surveys, allowing us to determine which businesses have most impressed the Australian public and business sector with their excellence in customer satisfaction,” Levine stated.
